Axel Darut is a seasoned expert in the circular economy, with eight years of experience in the development and implementation of policies at European and international levels. With a strong background in European and international affairs, Axel has held positions of responsibility, notably as Head of European and International Affairs within an eco-organization, as well as leadership roles within a foundation dedicated to circular economy policies.
Today, as an independent consultant through his company Circulearth, he supports public and private stakeholders by providing strategic advice on regulatory analysis to accelerate the global transition towards a circular economy.
In parallel with his consulting activities, Axel teaches at several national and European institutions such as Les Mines ParisTech and Sciences Po Strasbourg. He also volunteers his expertise to the International Council for Circular Economy. He holds degrees in Law and Regulated Markets from Paris Dauphine University, as well as in European Union Law from the College of Europe.
A regular author and speaker, he contributes to numerous international publications and conferences on circular economy policies and the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes. He also collaborates with various international organizations and bodies, actively contributing to shaping the circular economy models of tomorrow.
