Cécile works with Circulearth as a knowledge partner in West Africa.
Cécile Edorh is an environmental consultant with experience in international public service on chemicals (European Commission REACH Regulation in 2023) and circular economy (responsible for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ eponymous resolution at the 6th United Nations Environment Assembly in 2024).
She has developed a solid understanding of political dynamics at European and international levels, working on the revision of the Classification, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) regulation and the Cosmetics Regulation.
She continues to closely follow European legislative and diplomatic developments, with a particular interest in chemicals (REACH revision) and waste management (International Legally Binding Instrument negotiations on plastic pollution, BRS Convention, etc.), particularly in an island context (monitoring marine waste within Team Europe, volunteering to support the Zero Waste project at UNEP Caribbean, etc.).
She holds a Master’s degree in Management from emlyon business school and a Master’s degree in International Law from the University of Paris Panthéon Assas (Paris 2).
Accustomed to interpreting her legal expertise to different types of stakeholders (European chemical legislation operating via a triptych Jurist – Chemist – Economist), Cécile runs various workshops and training courses (“Fresque” type) to audiences from different backgrounds in the language requested. Fluent in French and English, she also has knowledge of German and Spanish.
Cécile is based in West Africa.
In addition to her consulting work, Cécile is also involved in the management of environmental summits (Africa 2025 Summit of the Climate Chance Association).
It sees this as the ideal framework for developing advocacy (Cotonou Declaration 25) that listens to stakeholders (institutional players, CSOs, businesses, academia) and works towards a just transition.

✔ Knowledge of plastics industries, particularly toys, cosmetics (specific European regulations) and textiles
✔ Circular economy legislative and regulatory analysis: 3 years’ experience in analyzing and interpreting legislation and regulations relating to the circular economy.
✔ International commitment: 2 years’ experience in European environmental negotiations (monthlyWorking Group) and UN negotiations (UNEA-6, Negotiation for a legally binding instrument to combat plastic pollution throughout its life cycle).
